About Me

I’m Joy Leftow, LCSW — a therapist, poet, and double Columbia University graduate. My work is grounded not just in education and training, but in my life — a life spent navigating challenges, healing, and helping others do the same.

Over the years, I’ve supported individuals and families through trauma, ADHD, grief, and tough transitions. My approach blends clinical skill with real-world experience — always honest, human, and healing.

Whether you're feeling stuck or seeking a deeper sense of self, I offer a space where your voice is honored and your story leads the way.

As both a therapist and a poet, I believe in the power of language — to heal, to witness, and to transform.

Therapy with me is a partnership. I'm here to help you rediscover your strengths and work through what's blocking your path. Every journey is unique, and my role is to guide and support you every step of the way.

We'll rewrite your story together. Sometimes healing begins with the right words.

My Approach

I believe in meeting you where you are, working collaboratively with honesty, and creating a space where you are heard.
